«The Wayfarer» is a file of 300 drawings, silhouettes of people made from 2007 to 2011 during the artist’s travels with the migrant community along the Mexican migratory route, where he records human conditions and the vulnerability of migrants in their way through our country. From «The Wayfarer», the artist shows his interest in the multiple social actions that currently take place in Mexico, any time that the growing violence, poverty, impunity and violation of the fundamental rights of the human being, such as his dignity and the sense of peace are being attacked, having as a transverse axis the migration, unfolding «The Wayfarer» in different works and projects to talk about the migratory route, the refugee communities, the relatives of the victims, the bodies in the clandestine graves, the displaced ones, the humanitarian aid to the shelters, the processes of peace and resolution of conflicts from a humanistic vision. The Wayfarer of Cristian Pineda is an intervention not only because of its public nature, also, because it is a work that evidences, denounces and from which he raises his voice through art, making a call to think again on the values and dignity of the human being as a whole.
